Wine regions evolve, climatic conditions are challenging wine producers worldwide and traditional winemaking processes are making a comeback around the world. Wine producers strive to produce wines that show regionality and reflect their terroir and for that, they are also turning to more sustainable viticultural practices.
We are witnessing how these changes are taking place in Rioja: Classic wines are more appreciated than ever while, at the same time, maverick wine producers are challenging established assumptions and finding new possibilities, recovering grape varieties in certain territories, using ancient winemaking techniques, looking back to preserve the future. Rioja´s new labels are recognising this diversity and young winemakers are pioneering a new way to understand the region.
Join us for an exciting conversation with Sarah Jane Evans MW, who will share her views on what Rioja means in 2021. Few people understand Rioja better than her and this will be a unique opportunity for you to ask questions and find out everything about Rioja in the 21st century.
